Genucel's parent company, Unimed International, began in Colonia, New Jersey when a local pharmacy customer asked pharmacist George Faltaous to formulate a wrinkle cream for her skin. Drawing upon his experience in pharmaceuticals, chemistry and nutrition, he created a simple compound containing strong antioxidants. To safely maximize absorption of the active ingredients, George used a base of calendula flower extract, a plant that has been used in natural healing for millennia. Unimed International's flagship brand, genucel, carries on the tradition of the original formula by using scientifically researched botanical extracts to help men and women address all their skin care needs.
