Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) is an American professional stock car racing team owned and operated by former Washington Redskins coach Joe Gibbs, who first started racing on the NASCAR circuit in 1991, and J. D. Gibbs, his son. Headquartered in Huntersville, North Carolina, roughly 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Charlotte Motor Speedway, the team has amassed four Sprint Cup championships since the year 2000.
Recreational vehicle and supply retailer Camping World and its Good Sam Enterprises travel-club unit have agreed to sponsor the 19-year-old Wallace for 11 of the 18 races remaining in this season. The company is also the title sponsor of Nascar’s Camping World Truck Series, which feeds into its Nationwide and top-tier Sprint Cup series.
