Greene King is a British brewery established in 1799 in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. It has grown to become one of the largest British owned breweries in the UK through a series of takeovers which have been the subject of some criticism. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 share index. It currently holds 2% of the UK beer market, although its share has been growing for some time.

The Newcastle Falcons (formerly Gosforth FC/Newcastle Gosforth until 1996) is an English rugby union team that has recently returned to the English Premiership as of 29 May 2013 after a season in the RFU Championship.[3] The club was established in 1877[1] and played under the name of Gosforth Football Club until 1990.

The agreement will see Greene King IPA become the Falcons’ principal partner with immediate effect until summer 2017 and the home shirt sponsors of Newcastle Thunder for the forthcoming 2016 season. Greene King has also been given exclusive pouring rights at Kingston Park stadium for the next five years.
