You can participate in these events as a fundraiser, or you can just pay the registration fee up front and not fundraise at all. A Gran Fondo derived its origin in Italy and is commonly translated as “Big Ride”.
Charity of Choice and its non profit arm, Echelon Gran Fondo announces Hutchinson Tires as its lead awards sponsor for tires and tubes for fundraisers for any Charity of Choice event which now include 6 major gran fondo cycling events in the USA. Fundraisers bringing in donors for their favorite charity are rewarded with product from the likes of Garmin, Detours, Hammer Nutrition, Shimano, and more. Since all product is donated, nothing comes out of the charity coffers. In addition to other products rewards, cyclists who elect to fund-raise at any Echelon event receive $150 in tires for raising just $1,000.
