From an two time Emmy Award winning Producer of the "Deadliest Catch" Doug Stanley… In the spirit of Diana Nyad's recent Cuba to Florida swim, this summer, Jaimi Patrick, a 41 year old endurance athlete will attempt to set a world open water distance record on Lake Michigan by swimming from Milwaukee Bay to Chicago Harbor. It will be a grueling 60 hour, non-stop test of attrition and human perseverance as Jamie braves the inclement weather, cold temperatures, mental exhaustion, and more than 250,000 arm strokes to swim into the record books. "The Great Lake Swim" swim will be promoted to 86 million Facebook users and will be shown LIVE to millions using SmackDab, an innovative software solution that essentially turns a Facebook page into its own television channel. In addition, viewers can interact with one another via a multi-functional chat system as they watch online. Getting viewers to tune in is our strength. By utilizing 178 different data points, we have the ability to discover the users who will be most interested in "The Great Lake Swim" and then design an ideal marketing campaign to drive these receptive individuals to the LIVE event. We expect the targeting profile to include swimmers, triathletes, runners, surfers, and others with active lifestyles. Our promotions will reach across the world and initially will target the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Brazil.
