About Property:

The Frick Collection is an art museum on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City, housed in the Henry Clay Frick House — a Beaux-Arts mansion at 1 East 70th Street. Established in 1935 to preserve the collection of industrialist Henry Clay Frick, the museum holds approximately 1,500 works of 14th- to 19th-century European art, including paintings by Bellini, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Velázquez, Goya, Turner, and Whistler, alongside European sculpture, decorative arts, and furniture. The Frick also houses the Frick Art Research Library, a major art history research center founded in 1920. The museum reopened in April 2025 following a multi-year renovation of its landmark building. It typically draws up to 300,000 visitors annually and hosts temporary exhibitions, concerts, lectures, and academic symposiums. The Frick is a registered nonprofit.
