Maserati (Italian pronunciation: [maze?ra?ti]) is an Italian luxury car manufacturer established on December 1, 1914, in Bologna.[2] The company's headquarters are now in Modena, and its emblem is a trident. It has been owned by the Italian car giant Fiat S.p.A. since 1993. Inside the Fiat Group, Maserati was initially associated with Ferrari S.p.A., but more recently it has become part of the sports car group including Alfa Romeo.
The U.S. Open Polo Championship is the highest rated polo tournament on the continent. The USPA U.S. Open Polo Championship dates back to 1904. The tournament was first played at Van Cortland Park in New York. In 2004, the International Polo Club landed the championship, and it has been played there ever since. The United States Polo Association is the national governing body for the sport of polo in the United States. Established in 1890, the USPA provides resources to over 4,500 individual members and 250 polo clubs across the U.S. and Canada, including promoting the game of polo, coordinating the activities of its Member Clubs and Registered Players, arranging and supervising polo tournaments, competitions and games and providing rules, handicaps and conditions for those tournaments, competitions and games, including the safety and welfare of participants and mounts.
