The Fijian Drua (currently known as the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua) is a professional rugby union team based in Nadi, Fiji, competing in Super Rugby Pacific — one of the world’s elite club rugby competitions. Created by the Fiji Rugby Union and launched in 2017, the team first competed in Australia’s National Rugby Championship, winning the 2018 title. In 2022, the Drua joined Super Rugby Pacific as a full franchise. Named after the traditional Fijian double-hulled war canoe, the team has become a source of national pride and a development pipeline for Fiji’s international squad, the Flying Fijians. Home matches are played at HFC Bank Stadium (capacity 15,000) and are known for their electric atmosphere and the battle cry “Toso Drua Toso.”
