The Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin, also known as "Kiash Matchitiwuk" the Ancient Ones, occupied a vast territory, over 10 million acres of land, of what is now Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. The Menominee have survived for more than 10,000 years and are indigenous to the State of Wisconsin. Menominee Tribal Enterprises (MTE) produces and manufactures sustainable forest products, leading the industry and setting new quality standards since 1908. Sustainable forest management practices on the 230,000 acre Menominee Forest allow for approximately 20 million board feet of timber to be harvested annually, manufactured into various wood products and marketed across the globe. The Wisconsin Herd are an American professional basketball team of the NBA G League announced to begin play for the 2017–18 season as an affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the Herd will play their home games at the new Menominee Nation Arena.
