Kawhi Anthony Leonard (/kəˈwaɪ/, born June 29, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft, Leonard was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in his first season with the San Antonio Spurs. Leonard won an NBA championship with the Spurs in 2014, when he was also named the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player. He is a two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, having won in 2015 and 2016, and is a two-time All-NBA First Team member (2016 and 2017).
