Novo Nordisk manufactures and markets pharmaceutical products and services and was created in 1989 through a merger of two Danish companies dating back to the 1920s. It produces, in particular, diabetes care equipment and medications. Novo Nordisk is also involved with haemostasis management, growth hormone therapy and hormone replacement therapy. Novo Nordisk is researching pulmonary delivery systems for diabetic medications, and in the early stages of research into autoimmune and chronic inflammatory diseases, using technologies such as translational immunology and monoclonal antibodies

The New Jersey Marathon is an annual marathon that takes place in and around Long Branch, NJ. It is owned by US Road Sports and Entertainment Group . The race has been hosted since 1997. In 2011, there were over 10,000 participants from every corner of New Jersey, 40 states and 10 countries in the New Jersey Marathon.
