Consumer loan services include real estate-secured loans, unsecured and partially secured personal loans, and loans to finance consumer goods. Preparing for efforts to sell the unit, Citigroup announced the name change from CitiFinancial in December 2010, with nationwide signage changes occurring July 1, 2011.[82]
