Climate Pledge Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Seattle, Washington, United States. It is located north of downtown in the 74-acre (30 ha) entertainment complex known as Seattle Center, the site of the 1962 World's Fair.[11] Originally developed for the exposition, it was bought and converted by the city of Seattle afterwards for entertainment purposes such as concerts, ice shows, circuses, and sporting events. The arena is currently undergoing redevelopment work at an estimated cost of $900 to $930 million; it is expected to open in June 2021[12][13][14] with a capacity of 17,100 for ice hockey and 18,100 for basketball.[15]
