Patagonia, Inc. is a Ventura, California-based clothing company, focusing mainly on outdoor clothing. The company is a member of several environmental movements. It was founded by Yvon Chouinard in 1972. Patagonia offers many varieties of outdoor clothing. Many of their products are marketed towards skiers, campers, surfers, hikers, rock climbers, and others. Patagonia employs a flex-time policy, allowing employees to take time off to go surfing. One of its main product lines is the Capilene base layer clothing. Patagonia recently started making surf-specific products, and currently has three different lines of wetsuits and many different models of swim trunks.
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) is a film festival and non-profit organization, established in 1985, that showcases independent American and international films. The annual Festival draws 85,000 guests over an eleven day period. SBIFF programs over 150 US and World Premiere films along with red carpet celebrity Tributes, industry panel discussions, free seminars, children's education programs,and community outreach programs. SBIFF has secured a reputation for hosting Oscar(r) nominees and is a must-stop event for honorees and past winners.
