The company is based in Knoxville, Tennessee where Pilot Corporation, the majority owner, is based. The company is owned by Pilot and FJ Management Inc.. The company operates truck stops under the Pilot Travel Centers and Flying J Travel Plaza brands.
About Property:
The National Hot Rod Association is a drag racing governing body, which sets rules in drag racing and host events all over the United States and Canada. With over 80,000 drivers in its rosters, the NHRA is considered one of the largest motorsports sanctioning bodies in the world.
As part of the agreement, Pilot Flying J will have a presence at NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events in 2014. The Knoxville, Tenn.-based company will receive onsite display rights at select events, where it will promote highway safety and provide information on career opportunities in professional truck driving. Promotional video spots on the track big screen and public address announcements also are part of the partnership.
