The Kentucky Wildcats are the men's and women's intercollegiate athletic squads of the University of Kentucky , a founding member of the Southeastern Conference. Historically, the women's teams and athletes were referred to as the "Lady Kats", but all athletic squads adopted the "Wildcats" nickname in 1995.
PNC Bank will pay the University of Kentucky’s sports marketing partner $8.6 million over the next 15 years to become the school’s “official” bank, with unprecedented access to its 30,000 students and 12,000 employees. Under the deal, UK will receive 70 percent of those payments.
