Formed in 1924 as Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik by Adolf and Rudolf Dassler, relationships between the two brothers deteriorated until the two agreed to split in 1948, forming two separate entities, Adidas and Puma. Elaine Sandra-Lee Thompson-Herah OD (née Thompson; born June 28, 1992)[3] is a Jamaican sprinter who competes in the 60 metres, 100 metres and 200 metres. One of the greatest sprinters of all time, she is a five-time Olympic champion, the fastest woman alive, and the second-fastest in history over both the 100 m and 200 m. Thompson-Herah is the first woman in history, and the second sprinter after her compatriot Usain Bolt, to win the "sprint double" at consecutive Olympics, capturing gold in both the 100 m and 200 m at the 2016 Rio Olympics and again at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
