The Rivertowne Beer concept was born in 2002 with the opening of Rivertowne Inn. Rivertowne Brewing Company initial production began in 2007 with the conceptualization of the Rivertowne Pourhouse, a local microbrewery and pub in Monroeville, PA. In 2009, the company released three bottled varieties and the company has plans to open a new state of the art production facility.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are a Major League Baseball club based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They play in the Central Division of the National League, and are five-time World Series Champions. The Pirates are also often referred to as the "Bucs" or sometimes the "Buccos" .
The Pittsburgh Pirates announced today they have completed a sponsorship agreement with Pittsburgh area-based Rivertowne Brewing Company that includes the naming rights to the PNC Park Hall of Fame Club.
