About Sponsor:
The Salomon Group is a sports equipment manufacturing company that originated in Annecy, France. The company was started in 1947 by François Salomon and his wife and son. In 1997 it became part of the Adidas group. On 2 May 2005, Adidas-Salomon announced that it had agreed to sell the Salomon Group for €485 million to Amer Sports of Finland. The transaction was completed on October 20, 2005.

The Big Alta is a three-day trail running event produced by Daybreak Racing and Freetrail on Marin County’s iconic ridgelines, with races at 28K, 50K, and a point-to-point 100K. Courses summit Loma Alta and Big Rock Ridge, offering extensive Bay Area vistas, professional timing, well-staffed aid stations, and live coverage.
