The league website, NHL.com, will now feature 30 advanced statistics such as Corsi (named for a former Buffalo Sabres' assistant coach, Jim Corsi) and Fenwick — now being called shot attempts (SAT) and unblocked shot attempts (USAT) by the NHL – as well as additional enhancements of existing statistics, such as a breakdown of primary and secondary assists.
