Mark Simon Cavendish MBE (born 21 May 1985) is a Manx professional road racing cyclist who currently rides for UCI ProTeam Omega Pharma-Quick Step. Originally a track cyclist specialising in the madison, points race, and scratch race disciplines, he has competed on the road since 2006, rising to prominence as a sprinter, widely considered to be the fastest cyclist on two wheels in the world.
Science in Sport, the leading sports nutrition company and makers of the World’s First Isotonic Energy Gel, today announced it has become the official sports nutrition sponsor of three-time Tour de France green jersey winner, Mark Cavendish. With the partnership, Cavendish will be training and racing with Science in Sport’s nutrition product line for the entirety of the 2018 UCI WorldTour, which he opened with a sprint victory on stage three of the 2018 Dubai Tour in February. Cavendish fueled with Science in Sport for the Amgen Tour of California, in preparation for the Tour de France in July, where he’ll be hunting sprint stage wins in pursuit of the sprinters’ green jersey with Team Dimension Data.
