Tipperary GAA is the informal name by which the Tipperary County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association is usually known. It is one of over 30 regional executive boards throughout the world. While they are known as "county" boards, some are no longer co-extensive with the area of counties of Ireland and still others are outside Ireland altogether, nevertheless the term enjoys common usage. Tipperary GAA has jurisdiction over the area that is co-extensive with the combined counties of North Tipperary and South Tipperary. The Board's role is to promote and regulate Gaelic games as well as to bear responsibility for Board's inter-county teams.
