Sportlobster is a social networking website that launched in 2013. The website is available online and on the two major mobile operating systems, iOS and Android. The company was started by Andy Meikle and Arron Shepherd and is currently based in London. The company received £1 million in funding from Wychwood Capital Partners in September 2013. In April 2014, Sportlobster gained £2.2 million in investments for the implementation of video games on the website. In April 2014 the company had 37 employees, and as of June 2014 it has 42. The company is backed by sporting celebrities Michael Owen,Mark Webber and Cristiano Ronaldo.
