The Charlotte Hornets are a professional American basketball team based in Charlotte, North Carolina, that competes in the National Basketball Association . They are part of the Southeast Division in the league's Eastern Conference. The team is largely owned by former NBA player Michael Jordan, who acquired controlling interest in the team in 2010. The Hornets play their home games at Time Warner Cable Arena in center-city Charlotte.
Jones last year formed a new division of his family’s office-supply company, The Supply Room Cos. It’s a bold step to take a family operation head-to-head with larger suppliers serving Charlotte. But Jones says he’s already gaining ground and signing big clients.
