The Des Moines Triathlon is an annual triathlon event held over Labor Day weekend in Des Moines, Iowa.
"We are so proud this event is continuing in the city of Des Moines," Mayor Frank Cownie said. "There was some skepticism as to whether it was going to keep going ... but these large-scale events are huge to our city."
