Melbourne City FC is a professional soccer club based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It competes in the country's premier competition, the A-League, under license from Football Federation Australia. Known until June 2014 as Melbourne Heart, the club entered the competition in the 2010–11 season after its formation in June 2009. In January 2014, the club was acquired by Manchester City, in partnership with the Australian rugby league club Melbourne Storm.
Mr Cooke on Wednesday revealed a raft of new sporting sponsorships that will form part of a multimillion-dollar marketing spend to promote the new UBET wagering brand and challenge market leader Tabcorp, as well as fast-growing online-only rivals like William Hill Australia and Sportsbet.
