The Connecticut Huskies, also known as the UConn Huskies, are the athletic teams of the University of Connecticut in the United States. The school is a member of National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I and the Big East Conference for all sports except men's ice hockey and women's ice hockey . The major sports at the university are football and men's and women's basketball , although many of the other sports have large followings and a tradition of success.
STORRS, Conn. - As part of Military Appreciation Day at the Saturday, Nov. 4 football game vs. USF, the UConn Division of Athletics has collaborated with the UConn Office of Veterans Affairs and Military Programs and Vet Tix on several initiatives including the Military Match Program.
