Vidéotron GP is a Canadian integrated telecommunications company active in cable television, interactive multimedia development, video on demand, cable telephony, wireless communication and Internet access services. Owned by Quebecor, the company primarily serves Quebec, as well as the francophone communities of New Brunswick and some parts of Eastern Ontario.
About Property:
The Videotron Centre is a new multi-use indoor arena in Quebec City, Quebec that is currently under construction. It will mainly be used for ice hockey, and other indoor sports, as well as music concerts. It is due to open in 2015 and will have a capacity of 18,482 spectators.
At first glance, the potential for Videotron to gain more brand awareness by putting its name on the prominent building appears somewhat limited. It already has a significant presence and consumer recognition in Quebec.
