The Wilson Sporting Goods Company is a sports equipment manufacturer based in Chicago, Illinois, and currently is a foreign subsidiary of the Finnish company Amer Sports.
About Property:
The Women's Tennis Association, founded in 1973 by Billie Jean King, is the principal organizing body of Women's Professional Tennis. It governs the WTA Tour which is the worldwide professional tennis tour for women. Its counterpart organization in the men's professional game is the Association of Tennis Professionals.
Highlights of the deal include the creation of a line of WTA Tour Championship balls as well as various other cross-branded products; the use of the WTA Tour logo in advertising, promotion and packaging; the opportunity for Wilson to enter into agreements with additional individual WTA Tour tournaments; and signage and promotional rights at the Championships.
