A one day cycling event on the Alabama/Georgia border featuring three distances (30-mile ride and a 62 & 100-mile race) The rides are half in Georgia and half in Alabama - hence the name and features some of the best and scenic gravel roads in the South. The event is in its third year and is expanding to 600 riders for 2024 and looking to grow to 1,500 by 2025. The event offers a week of pre-ride activities, day-of expo/festival with live music, camping and a post race ride. Profits from the event go to the Heard County Food Pantry and MTB Atlanta (the local Mountain Bike Association that is currently building and maintaining trails in a 15 county radius in Georgia) The goal of the event is to provide a great experience for the 600 registered riders, while working to revitalize the Downtown Franklin, Heard and Randolph counties through bicycle tourism.
