One hundred years ago, Beverly Hills was already a haven for movie stars – creating a reputation for style, class and glamour. On January 28, 1914, City leaders made it official by incorporating and forming an independent City with outstanding police and fire departments and a superb school system.
The City of Beverly Hills is planning an 18-month celebration, starting the summer of 2013, to mark a century of cityhood – and the whole world is invited! The community will mark the 100th Anniversary with a series of events, displays and celebrations in keeping with the City’s tradition of elegance and civic pride.
