Carpathian Arch Race #CAR is a bike road race that starts in the city of Bratislava in Slovakia, following the mountains through Ukraine, entering Romania, crossing the biggest passes and finishing in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The finish is in Apuseni mountains, Transylvania, which belongs to the Western Romanian Carpathians, also called Occidentali in Romanian. Their name translates from Romanian as Mountains "of the sunset". You will ride over 2,500 km, through an extraordinary landscape, checking some amazing points. The race is one without external support, all participants must follow the route, passing the checkpoints, planning their luggage, sleeping time, power and route (because outside the control segments, each participant chooses his route).
The cause - we believe in!
This race is prepared and supported by the same team that leads the fight "Yes, even I can!" for health education, for people with diabetes and nutritional problems. We fight that through education and prevention, a person with diabetes can lead a normal, long life. Contribute to the patient's continuing education in treatment and lifestyle change.
463 million people lived with diabetes in 2019. Most of these cases are type 2 diabetes. It is estimated that another 374 million people are at increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Although there are a number of factors that influence the development type 2 diabetes, it is obvious that the most influential are the lifestyle behaviors commonly associated with urbanization. These include eating unhealthy foods and inactive lifestyles with sedentary behavior. WE WANT - to develop the necessary measures and infrastructure to ensure a balanced diet for school children and to facilitate their involvement in sports activities. We want every school to have a doctor.
