The Cherokee National Holiday commemorates the signing of the Cherokee Nation Constitution in 1839 and is the celebration of Cherokee heritage and culture. This is one of the largest events in Oklahoma, attracting over one hundred fifty thousand visitors from across the United States and around the world.

The 70th Annual Cherokee National Holiday will celebrate back in person this year and will feature signature events such as the Intertribal Powwow and many other attractions such as arts & crafts markets. Honoring the fabled 70-year event history, the remarkable progress of the Cherokee Nation during that span of time, and the resolute future of the Cherokee people, the event theme is “Forging a Legacy: Seven Decades of Cherokee Fellowship.”
