The CCL will be launched June 2022 with an initial six teams playing a full 15-game schedule at Jimmy John’s Field in historic downtown Utica, MI. The teams are corporate sponsored teams consisting current employees who are semi-pro cricket players or drafted players from a list of local/national talent. Potential corporate teams include: General Motors, Ford, Stellantis, Comerica, Continental, Harman International, Veoneer ,Toyota, Tata Technologies. CCL could be viewed by corporates as employee/family engagement event, promoting local talents and sport. The CCL is the first league in history to feature best practices such as having all of its games played on prime dates, Tuesday to Thursday from mid-June through early August – the very finest months of weather in Michigan. The future goal is to bring in corporates nationally sponsoring teams through draft.
American Sports & Entertainment will expand this same concept to other sports: soccer, badminton, volleyball etc. in the near future.
