CUMAC offers a large, trauma-informed choice marketplace where qualified residents who do not have enough food or are food insecure, can select the necessary foods they need for their families. This program is very innovative, moving away from the traditional food pantry model to a food justice model. Guests can schedule monthly appointments to come to the Marketplace through an appointment-based system. CUMAC serves over 4,700 guests monthly. The 28,000-square-foot facility is utilized for securing, storing, and distributing fresh, healthy food and high-quality shelf-stable products. Food insecurity data and guest surveys determine what food is sourced and where it is deployed. Food is distributed to guests through CUMAC programs and to partner organizations.
