Devin McCourty (born August 13, 1987) is an American football player who currently plays free safety for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He previously also played cornerback. He played college football at Rutgers, and was drafted by the Patriots in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He has been a regular Patriots starter since his rookie year, having started and played in all but five games for the Patriots over that span. He was named to two Pro Bowl teams, was a three-time second team All-Pro selection, and was named to Pro Football Focus's All-Decade team for the 2010s. He has a twin brother, Jason McCourty, with whom he played at Rutgers from 2006–2008, and again with the Patriots from 2018–2020.
