In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, FLIGHT100, a solo global circumnavigation flight will take place beginning on June 10th. The flight will be piloted by Alexander Quessy, a 21 year old Masters of Aerospace Engineering student and flight instructor. He will be the youngest Briton to have completed the solo global circumnavigation by air. All funds raised will be donated to the Benevolent Fund.

Completing the route will take Alexander 25 days, covering almost 24,000 nautical miles and overflying 25 countries during 29 legs.

FLIGHT100 promises to attract large national and global media interest. It represents a key fundraising event in the Benevolent Funds centennial calendar.

FLIGHT100 employs the latest in navigation, communications, avionics and safety technology. Any brand affiliated with the event will benefit from its association with state-of-the-art aviation employed in an ambitious undertaking, but with altruistic purpose and with the evocation of adventure and discovery.
