The Danger was founded in July of 2015, and in that inaugural season (2015-2016) the team finished 13-9, which qualified them for their FIRST playoff appearance in team history. Recently the team completed its 3rd season. The Danger finished with a trip to the North American Basketball League Championship Series. Although the team didn’t walk away with the NABL Crown, they did receive the NABL Community Service Leader award. In the Danger’s short existence they’ve sent five players overseas in places such as Germany, Spain, Canada, Uruguay, and Australia. These players are gaining valuable knowledge of the sport and continue to grow as athletes.
The Grand Rapids Danger prides itself on not only securing the best talent but also finding good people who are willing to serve their community. The team has spent time in the public schools speaking and reading to the youth. The team has also attended and served at special community events such as the Grand Rapids Legacy Ball, and the Soups On For All event With the 2019 season coming up the Danger have already recieved multiple inquires. We are working with Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids to help with Laugh Fest. The Danger will be spending time also with the childern of the Grand Rapids Public School Systems. read more
