GHESKIO is a globally recognized medical treatment, research and training center. For 40 years, GHESKIO has provided essential care for HIV, TB and other infectious diseases – always free of charge – to the most vulnerable people of Haiti.

Not only HIV, but our services span primary medical care, perinatal, adolescent and pediatric services. Last year alone, we supported more than 100,000 patient visits at no cost to patients. Our research has influenced WHO guidelines and when to treat patients with HIV in low-income settings and how to prevent TB in patients.

Women, young girls and children are a special area of focus for us as well as women's empowerment.

We deliver medical care and psychosocial services for young women, expectant mothers, adolescent girls and children, many of whom are displaced or live in extreme poverty. Our vocational training program provides survivors of gender-based violence and former sex workers with textile, craft and other skills to build new careers and better futures for themselves and their families.

Haitian Global Health Alliance is the US-based 501(c)3 partner organization of GHESKIO and is responsible for communications and fundraising to provide life-saving services to people living in extreme poverty.
