The Mother of All Relays and the most popular relay race in the world The Hood to Coast Relay boast 20,000 participants from all 50 states and 41 countries taking on the 199-mile relay. Starting at Mount Hood's Timberline Lodge and ending at the beachside community of Seaside, Oregon. The event has sold out for 18 consecutive years and annually places an additional 40,000 hopeful runners and walkers on a waiting list. The Finish Line Party on the beach hosts 80,000 + patrons. Race History includes ABC television one-hour special, a Hood to Coast Movie, the participation of several Olympic athletes and most recently Nike's Kevin Hart who was the subject of a hilarious viral video in 2017.
