JETSTREAM anticipates over five thousand (5,000) youth and families will participate in the six-month, hybrid, COVID-proof, outdoor and environmental experience here in Northeast Ohio and Akron. The goal? Moving youth and families towards environmentally sustainable lifestyles and outdoor recreation. Everything kicks off in July with JUMP IN - four weeks of virtual and on-site, interactive videogaming (games with an outdoor or environmental theme) and STEM+ experiences for youth, peaking on August 21st with 64 & MORE, finals and outdoor experiences at the nationally acclaimed Cleveland Metroparks West Creek Reservation.

The action continues from August to November with FAM STREAM, where families compete in on-line and in-person videogaming tournaments. In addition, families participate in Click It and Fix It, where they earn extra tournament points by identifying and restoring an outdoor location which has been ruined by years of neglect.

Everything capstones in December with YES, the virtual and in-person conference where youth and families share their experiences, participate in hands-on workshops and “pick up” the knowledge “gems” dropped by local, regional, and national speakers.
