Celebrating its 10th Anniversary Season, MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL is a world-class music event spanning two weeks, and attracting national attention for its innovative arts education programs and award-winning jazz presentations. Under the direction of 6x Grammy winner Christian McBride, MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL showcases emerging jazz musicians performing alongside jazz greats such as Eddie Palmieri, Cyrus Chestnut, Chick Corea, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Oliver Lake, Louis Prima Jr., John Scofield and others. The festival has become a highly anticipated event on the jazz circuit, attracting musicians and audiences from around the world. Having grown from a single concert with an audience of 300 enthusiasts to a major festival attracting 12,000 and growing, MJF recently received the 2018 People’s Choice Award for Favorite Music Festival in NJ.

MONTCLAIR JAZZ FESTIVAL has become a signature event in Montclair, a bedroom community of NYC best known for its vibrant arts scene, award-winning restaurants and culturally diverse neighborhoods. The town also boasts the Montclair Film Festival, the Wellmont Theater, Outpost in the Burbs, Montclair Art Museum, and Peak Performances, a critically acclaimed performing arts program presented at Montclair State University’s Kasser Theater.
