Riverfest is a family-friendly, admission free, annual event organized by the River Reach Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The foundation’s mission is to protect, promote, and enhance our riverine corridors, and Riverfest’s mission is to bring people and the river together.

Activities taking place during the event include a 10k race, a weiner dog race, duck race, rafting & raft race, roverfest, disc golf, yoga flow, children’s activities, and car shows. Entertainment consists of musicians, Gourd and Apache dancers, and a recycled fashion show. There are arts & crafts vendors, food vendors, beer & wine gardens, and non-food vendors located along the river trails between Berg and Animas Parks.

The River Reach Foundation (RRF) partners with the City of Farmington's Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department (PRCA), San Juan County, the Convention and Visitors Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, local and regional watershed and recreational boating groups, and outdoor recreation entrepreneurs. Contributions and participation help to support the region’s efforts to improve the economy, recruit businesses and active retirees, and bring outdoor enthusiasts to the community.

Riverfest attracts more than 30,000 attendees over Memorial Day weekend who enjoy a variety of food and drink vendors, artists, musicians, dancers, group activities and other fun outdoor events.
