Fairs & Festivals - Music Festival
Sol Fest is an electronic music and arts festival named in honor of our dear friend Quentin “Sol” Rupp, an avid festival goer, who passed away in a tragic car accident at 26 years old. This event features a memorial aspect to memorialize lost loved ones and each year Sol Fest features a unique memorial component of the festival. This annual event was created to provide a sanctuary for others to connect, make lifelong friends, and unforgettable memories to aid in forgetting about the loss and current hardships people may face.
Sol Fest is known for positive energy, premier production, bass and house music, daily spiritual workshops, atmospheric lighting, live and digital art, flow performers, unique aquatic theme rotating mural maze, wide selection of vendors, and interactive installations. With music, art, and activities at a breathtaking venue, Sol Fest was created with the intention of forming a place for others to break away from the outside world and find purpose and beauty in life.
Situated on 1600 private acres, this venue is top of the line with added permanent showers and bathrooms, paved roads, full RV hookups and general store, an indoor venue with full-bar, aquatic inflatable aqua park at the 36-acre lake, crystal clear waterpark with zip-line and waterslides, miles of trails, VIP lakeside camping, luxury tiny homes, and much more! The Bama Slam grounds have been seeked by many, including artists, celebrities, and major national promoters to hold various music festivals of all different genres. Sol Fest is returning for the second year and is currently the only music festival occurring at this beautiful venue built for music festivals.
Bama Slam is a proven festival and concert facility in New Brockton, Alabama. From 2008-2010, it was the former site of the highly successful, major music festival, Bama Jam, which drew nearly 100,000 annually and national attention to the Wiregrass community. By its third year, Bama Jam drew attendees from 49 states and 11 countries—it sold 133 tickets that year to people in France. Since Bama Jam, the grounds have been majorly developed and many additional amenities have been added.
