Sports & Athletes - Bobsledding
Steve Langton is a 2x OLYMPIC BOBSLEDDER WHO WON TWO BRONZE MEDALS at the 2014 OLYMPIC GAMES IN SOCHI (along with SEVERAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES throughout his career). Steve is SUPERMAN's doppelgänger; he’s 6'3", 240lbs of solid muscle (see link to Men’s Health “Freaks of Fitness” below) and is known as one of the best overall athletes in the world (and one of the best looking, which never hurts). He’s not only an incredibly talented athlete on and off the ice but a driving force behind Team USA’s success. Steve, who STEPPED AWAY FROM THE SPORT AFTER THE 2014 OLYMPICS, HAS SINCE MADE A ROARING RETURN TO TEAM USA with one goal in mind- bringing home Gold at the upcoming 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Games in Feb. In his FIRST COMPETITION SINCE HE LEFT THE SPORT after Sochi, he WON NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP (July 2017)............

Steve grew up in Boston in a house with 3 BIG athletic boys- his mom had to go food shopping and do laundry every other day! As kids they had the "Langton Family Olympics" and bobsled was his favorite. After a successful collegiate track and field career at Northeastern he was unfulfilled after he graduated and needed another athletic outlet. Bobsled came to mind and the US Bobsled team immediately invited him to a recruitment camp and when they saw his numbers put him right on the U.S. team. The rest, is history.........

Steve won TWO Bronze medals in the 2-man and 4-man events at the Sochi Olympics, THE FIRST TIME in 62 YEARS THAT USA HAD WON A MEDAL IN 2-MAN. Steve said "I ACCOMPLISHED MY DREAM, I have two Olympic medals, I'M READY TO RETIRE," and he did (or so he thought, at least). He competed on The Amazing Race, got a “real” job and working for Kohler in Milwaukee and for the past three years silently stood by as he watched the US team struggle a little bit, which was harder on him than he thought it would be. His competitive nature took over and this spring he essentially said "I HAVE ONE MORE GAMES LEFT IN ME, AND I OWE THIS TO ME TEAM. I'M IN."...... So, he moved back to the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid in April to train full time. NOW, HE'S MORE DETERMINED THAN EVER. Put it this way, Langton is not coming home without two more Olympic medals. He had no reason to come back if they didn't know he could help make that happen. STEVE PUT HIS BUSINESS CAREER ON HOLD FOR NOW AND STEPPED UP TO BE A LEADER WHEN HIS TEAM NEEDS HIM THE MOST, AND HE IS SET ON LEADING USA to GOLD IN PYEONGCHANG...............

Despite the untimely loss of his teammate Steven Holcomb this past spring, Langton pressed forward and he's now more determined than ever to bring home the one thing his friend and teammate didn't have yet but really wanted- an Olympic Gold medal in two man bobsled- in Holcomb's honor (and win another Olympic medal in 4 man, too). ..............

Steve is a smart, well-spoken, dedicated, accomplished athlete with a great personality and super-human strength. Not only is Steve a terrific athlete, he’s a terrific human being and role model who embodies the character and spirit of what it means to be an Olympian and represent the USA.....................

Steve is an avid OUTDOORSMAN who enjoys hiking, fishing, golf and photography, and has a keen interest in real estate........................... SOCIAL MEDIA...........
