"From the pain comes the suffering. From the suffering comes the dream. From the dream comes the vision; from the vision comes the people. From the people comes the power; from the power comes the change. But, if the world could only have one father, the one man we would want to be our father is Madiba, Nelson Mandela." Peter Gabriel, 2005.

These words spoken some 17 years ago are as meaningful and important today as when first delivered.
As such, and at this moment of global unrest, pandemic, climate change, political/social divisions and challenges, the time has come once again to call upon the spirit and inspiration of Madiba to help light the way out of this darkness as The Long Walk Continues.

In the message-driven spirit of Live Aid (1985) and the 46664 Series of Concerts (2003-2008), THE LONG WALK CONTINUES' global broadcast and live-stream event will begin with a kickoff "live" concert from Wembley Stadium, London on what would have been Nelson Mandela's 105th birthday (July 18, 2023).
The concert portion will feature a lineup of iconic multi-generational musicians coming together to celebrate the legacy of "Madiba", while helping to shine a light on the issues and challenges facing both the African Continent and across the globe at this single moment in our lives. Artists in negotiation include U2, Harry Styles, Lizzo, Ed Sheeran, Stevie Wonder, Doja Cat, Drake, Coldplay, Beyonce, Rihanna and Bruce Springsteen and more.
