We believe fathers are the cornerstones of our families and communities. We are committed to equipping and supporting fathers by increasing their self-esteem through education and relevant programs so that they may be loving husbands and responsible and committed fathers.

Our mission is to provide fathers and men with information, education, connections, resources, support, and guidance to improve their lives, health, community support, and family relationships, especially as fathers with their children.

Throughout the year, we provide training workshops and programs for men and fathers throughout New Jersey and the tri-state region. We emphasize the importance of fatherhood and raising awareness of issues facing fathers of color.

We provide educational workshops specific to fathers while reminding others to reflect upon what is happening in society and their personal lives.

Sponsorships help provide the conference free of charge to fathers. Sponsors are also invited to support our monthly workshops serving over 3,000 fathers and men in Union County, NJ, annually. The Fatherhood Conference will empower dads with critical tools, awareness, and resources to address contemporary challenges impacting fathers and men.

The Union County Fatherhood Initiative Coalition (UCFIC) has pioneered healthy father engagement, education, and support activities since its start in 2012. UCFIC is dedicated to preparing and supporting fathers and men who lack the resources and connections to fulfill their potential in all spheres of life, including their significant roles as fathers to their children. With greater Union County, NJ, as its service area, UCFIC focuses on communities with more African American, Latino, or low-income men. read more
