The Women’s Centre of York Region is unique. There is no other agency, service or organization that offers what we do. Our programs and support assist women coming from various disadvantaged backgrounds to get back on their feet, get off social assistance, to arrive at a personal place of thriving socially and economically. The work we do is good for women, it’s good for their families and it’s good for the community. We’re committed to what we do.

We offer free counselling and skill-building group programs to women exiting abusive relationships and/or living in poverty.
