GPR Prepaid Debit cards are one of most important new types of payment cards, growing at over 20% annually with over $120 billion in spending.. Growth is coming entirely from consumers making more than $50,000, representing a 56% growth rate. Growth is being driven by multiple use cases: Millennials and college students use them as a checking account replacement, affluent adults use them for security when shopping online and millions of banked consumers use them for budgeting purposes and for their teenage children.
Cards are marketed to the members and customers of the affinity group by leveraging their low cost digital distribution channels including website, digital newsletter, email and all forms of social media.
